Corporate Relation, Employability, Placement and Training (CREPT) Cell has been formed in the campus consisting of the Training and Placement Officers and faculty representatives of various colleges in the campus. CREPT cell aims at developing corporate relations by continous interaction with various industries and thereby creating visibility of the campus and students in the corporate sector. Through these efforts companies are being approached for recruitment, internship, expert lectures and other professional collaborations.

CREPT team endeavours to instill in students an attitude of continuous learning and prioritizing to further their careers. The training programmes developed by the CREPT team intend to equip students with relevant employability skills, which include not only technical but also managerial skills. The team has initiated various training programs to improve students' employability skills. Students are also trained in Aptitude Tests, Technical Skills, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. These training programmes make students understand what is employability, various skills required to be employed, expectations of industry from freshers, etiquettes, professional behaviour and ethical workplace practices.

Student Centric Initiative at St. John Technical Campus

Skills Training for Employability Programme (STEP) is a student driven initiative for all the branches at St. John Technical campus. A team comprising of second, third and final year students and technical experts with in and off campus have collaborated to develop students technical competencies. The purpose of STEP is to update and train students with latest technical developments happening in the industry, through various activities like Workshops, Seminars, Industrial Visits and Certification programmess thus bridging the gap between Industry and academia.

STEP aims to create skilled professionals with technical knowledge on latest trends in the relevant industry by bridging the gap between industry expectations and student capabilities.

Center for Soft-Skill and Personality Development (CSSPD):

The college has established CSSPD in order to develop the soft skills of students like competency in English communication- Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, Leadership ability, Team Work, Time Management etc. and groom them according to the needs of the corporate world. CSSPD conducts Certification training programmes like 'Expressing Effectivley and Effeciently' and 'Campus to Corporate' fwhich helps students to improve their employability skills and make them industry ready.

Language Laboratory:

Good communication skills are indispensable for the success of any professional. The language laboratory plays an important role in the language learning process. The laboratory is well equipped with 30 student consoles with Orell Digital Language Lab software with relevant learning material.

Build Your Brand (BYB):

Build Your Brand portal is a tool to promote and assist students to develop themself as a brand. The portal provides a medium to all the students to tap their academic, curricular, co-curricular and self-development activities undertaken by them during their tenure in the campus. The portal helps student to market themselves in the coporate sector and place an important role in their professional success.
